If you are reading this, you likely feel the tension.
It’s the tension between the rich history of your church building and the current reality of your budget. It’s the tension between wanting to serve your neighborhood and the struggle to simply keep the boiler running.
For years, the narrative surrounding church property has been one of decline. We’ve all seen the headlines projecting that 100,000 churches will close their doors in the next decade. We’ve been told that the only options are to manage the decline until the money runs out, or to sell the property to a developer who will turn a sanctuary into a storage unit.
At New Chapter Ventures, we believe there is a third option. And today, we are proud to launch our new website to help you find it.
Why We Built This Website
Rather than imposing top-down solutions, we partner with communities to identify real needs and sustainable strategies. Your donations allow us to provide training, tools, and resources so that individuals can take control of their own futures. Whether it's through microloans for small businesses, educational scholarships, or skills training for women, your gift empowers people—not just for today, but for life.
We designed this new platform not just as a brochure of our services, but as a roadmap for what is possible. We know that for many pastors and regional leaders, the idea of "adaptive reuse" or "placemaking" feels overwhelming. It feels like a language you weren’t taught in seminary.
We wanted to build a digital home that bridges that gap and moves you from uncertainty to clarity.
What You'll Find Here
Whether you are a local pastor, a denominational executive, or a civic leader, we have curated resources specifically for you.
Real Stories of Transformation: Under our Case Studies section, you can read about places like Haw Creek Commons and Mountain City Public Montessori. These aren’t theoretical concepts; these are real churches that have generated financial stability and community impact by reimagining their assets.
A Clear Roadmap: We’ve broken down our proprietary 3-phase placemaking process: Alignment, Validation, and Activation. You can now explore exactly how we guide cohorts from the first whiteboard session to the final ribbon cutting.
The WRITE Method: Learn about the philosophy that underpins everything we do. We don’t just build; we Witness, Reimagine, Invest, Trust, and Embody. This ensures that every project aligns with your theology and your mission.
From Property Owner to Community Steward
Our goal with this new site is to shift the posture of the American church. For too long, we have viewed our buildings as fortifications to be protected or liabilities to be managed.
We are inviting you to see them as dormant assets waiting to be awakened.
Whether it’s workforce housing, a childcare center, or a shared commercial kitchen, your building has a story left to tell. This website is the first step in helping you write it.
I invite you to explore the site, read the stories, and when you’re ready, reach out. We aren't just consultants; we are partners who are ready to walk this road with you.
Welcome to the new chapter.
